YardSell ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the YardSell Shopify app and website at getyardsell.com.

Information We Collect

When you install and use the YardSell app, we collect the following information:

• Store information: Your Shopify store domain, store name, and store settings.
• Product data: Product titles, types, prices, and inventory levels — used to perform yardage conversion.
• App settings: Your YardSell configuration including substrate mappings, minimum cuts, and product templates.
• Access tokens: Shopify OAuth tokens required to interact with your store on your behalf.

When you sign up for our waitlist or contact us, we collect your email address.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the YardSell app and its features
• Convert product prices and inventory for fractional yardage selling
• Save and apply your app settings across sessions
• Send you important updates about the app or your account
• Respond to your questions and support requests
• Improve and develop new features

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except in the following circumstances:

• Shopify: We interact with Shopify's API on your behalf using the permissions you grant during installation.
• Cloudflare: Our app infrastructure runs on Cloudflare Workers and KV storage. Data is processed and stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Data Storage and Security

Your store's access tokens and settings are stored securely in Cloudflare's KV (Key-Value) storage. We use industry-standard security practices including HMAC webhook verification to ensure that data is only processed from legitimate Shopify requests.

We retain your data for as long as your YardSell subscription is active. When you uninstall the app, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us at hello@getyardsell.com.

Shopify App Permissions

YardSell requests the following Shopify permissions:

• Products (read/write): To read product information and update prices, inventory, metafields, and templates.
• Inventory (read/write): To convert inventory quantities for fractional yardage tracking.

We only request permissions that are necessary to provide the app's core functionality.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the information we hold about your store
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data by uninstalling the app and contacting us
• Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the app

Cookies

Our website (getyardsell.com) does not use tracking cookies. We use Google Fonts for typography, which may set cookies per Google's own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

YardSell is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
